@Buddha

Mangup Tales Festival · State Museum «Here on Taganka»

2021–2022 · sculpture · Oracle with on-screen prediction, Unity

An interactive Buddha sculpture: slept in an empty hall, woke for whoever walked in, answered a question after namaste.

@Buddha is an interactive sculpture — a mixed-media installation. Shown at the Mangup Tales festival and later at the State Museum "Here on Taganka".

The piece is built around ritual as interface. While no one is in range, the Buddha sleeps. When someone walks in, dozens of eyes open and track them.

The viewer asks a question and brings their hands together in namaste. The answer shows up on a television screen. The digital layer is built in Unity; sculpture, screen, and behaviour are joined into one object.

The viewer's presence isn't optional here — it's the condition for the installation to run at all.
